Mike's Business Writing Class
"Doubling Your Writing Speed and Reader’s Comprehension … in an hour"
Mike developed this one-hour business writing presentation from his six-week technical writing course. There are two goals. The first is for you to write much, much faster, with more impact and accuracy. The second is for your readers to quickly comprehend exactly what you are trying to say.
This presentation is focused on time-tested, minimalist writing techniques. Topics include better word use, active voice sentence construction, lean paragraph delivery, and improved readability techniques. Mike has proudly borrowed key elements of this presentation from past masters. And be assured, if properly employed, these time-tested techniques will change the way you write and are read from the moment you use them.
This writing presentation was recently made in six sessions to over 100 project managers at Southern California Edison in Rosemead, San Clemente, and Ranch Cucamonga and to over 50 members of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) in Temecula and Irwindale. It will also be presented at San Diego’s Annual Project Management Institute’s Conference in May. Handouts will be provided including quick-reference, laminated wallet cards. Certificates of Completion will be provided to all who complete a five-minute exercise at the end of the presentation.
Mike's Advanced Multitasking Seminar
"do more, work less, be happy"
Multitasking seems to be one of required skill sets in today’s highly-tasked workforce. As a matter of fact, it seems if you’re not multitasking, there must be something wrong with you; you’re not perceived as a high achiever. In his presentation, Mike discusses multitasking as you have never heard it before; how it really works, what it can do “for” you, what it can do “to” you, research about it, proven methods and tools to improve task performance, and measurements for “advanced” multitasking in today’s complex work environment.
In his presentation, Mike demonstrates how multitasking can be leveraged by your three brains (yes, three) to maximize output while working fewer hours, with less anxiety, and having more fun. This is powerful material. So get ready to explode onto your work scene the next day!
Can you handle even more success?
The seminar includes a free business card CD containing the presentation, multitasking tools, and a soft planner. Mike also distributes free, laminated Quick Reference wallet cards so you don't even have to take notes. At the end of the presentation, he will also distribute a link to his Advanced Multitasking website that contains the presentation, reference materials, tools, and academic references. And of course, the password.
